FieldTalk
Fieldtalk is an independent California soccer newsroom covering the game from the grassroots to the professional level. Since 2018, we have produced original reporting that highlights the players, clubs, communities, and organizations shaping soccer across California and beyond.
Our mission is to connect communities through trusted journalism, celebrating the people and stories that make the beautiful game possible

Our Story
Fieldtalk was founded to give grassroots soccer the coverage it deserves. While professional football dominates headlines, countless stories from local communities, youth programs, amateur leagues, and community organizations often go untold.
Today, we cover every level of the game—from neighborhood fields to the world's biggest stages—telling the stories that inspire, inform, and connect the soccer community.
OUR TEAM
Our newsroom is made up of writers, editors, photographers, videographers, and storytellers who share a passion for soccer and community journalism. Together, we produce original reporting that informs, celebrates, and preserves the stories behind the game.
