AV Alta FC Shuts Out Westchester SC 2-0 in Front of Sellout Crowd

AV Alta FC launched their 2025 USL League One campaign in unforgettable fashion, defeating Westchester SC 2-0 in front of a sellout crowd of 5,433 fans at Lancaster Municipal Stadium. The victory marks the club’s first league win in franchise history, powered by early goals and a rock-solid defensive effort.

The scoring started early. In the 9th minute, Emmanuel Chinemeren Alaribe opened his account with a composed finish that electrified the home crowd. Jimmie Villalobos doubled the lead in the 27th minute, capitalizing on AV Alta's strong buildup play and giving the team a commanding advantage they would not relinquish

While the stat sheet shows just two saves for AV Alta FC, the real story lies in Carlos Avilez's performance between the posts. The veteran goalkeeper delivered a masterclass in command and composure, defending every free kick, handling corners with authority, and clearing danger inside the box multiple times.
