What does the next two games mean for LA GALAXY?

Its goes without saying LA Galaxy have had a rough patch this season. Standing at 10th spot in the western conference with 6 wins, 3 ties and 11 losses. This for sure doesn't look good for the 5 times champs.

The fans were first to respond with their frustration on their beloved team LA Galaxy.

A few changes have had to be made including terminating head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto and having head coach Dominic Kinnear go take over the team as the club is looking for a solution.

Either make history and bring the team back to life or just keep sinking till the new season.

However, Kinnear was off to a good start; knocking Real Salt Lake off the playoffs contender ship and giving hope to the team and fans.

Giancarlo Gonzalez was the first to hit the back of the net by converting Sebastian Lletget's freekick giving the LA Galaxy an early lead.

The other two goals came in at second half, Salt Lake wanting to respond almost immediately but thanks to Giancarlo Gonzalez quick reaction to save a goal, literally at the goal line.

This didn't stop Real Salt Lake from trying to push further but at the 65th minute, 24year old Cristian Pavon collected the ball from mid-field, beating three defenders and toe pocking the second goal for LA Galaxy hurting the Real Salt Lake more.

At the 72nd minute, Real Salt Lake made some changes that eventually paid off. Douglas Martinez came in for Everton Luiz and was immediately effective. He was able to convert a cross from Justin Meram to cut the deficit to half.

Real Salt Lake's goal wasn't enough to tie the game or keep them in the playoffs.

The game ending in 2-1 in favor of LA GALAXY is a sign, the team still has fighting power for the upcoming playoffs.

LA Galaxy need to win their next games to be very certain of the Playoffs, otherwise they will have to fold early and wait for 2021.
