Former Kenyan international and US-based athlete Vivian Achieng Oray has opened the Oray Football Academy in Kisumu. The Academy seeks to provide unrivalled opportunities for aspiring young footballers. Starting her career with Athletic Youth Stars (ASYA) in Nyalenda within Kisumu County, under the tutelage of Coach Duncan Omondi, Vivian -- affectionately known as ‘Messi’ -- also captained the Butere Girls High School team before earning her maiden national team call-up during her last year of school. Additionally, she played for Western Commandos in the Women Premier League.

At Oray Football Academy, young players aged 9-15 years are offered specialized training sessions, physical conditioning, and a platform to showcase their abilities and connect with professional clubs and scouts free of charge. The academy has partnered with several local schools and Fieldtalk to develop the program, and players will train at the academy facility.

Furthermore, fixtures against semi-professional and professional teams have been arranged to further advance the development of the footballers.
