Sounders disqualify LAFC for the second time in a raw

Tough loss as Los Angeles Black and Gold fell for Sounders in a thrilling 3-1 defeat in Seattle for the second time.



Sounders FC were the first to see the back of the net in the 18th minute when Nico Lodeiro fired a shot past the rooted LAFC's goalie Pablo Sisniega.

An equalizing opportunity was when Carlos Vela was tripped by Nouhou Tolo moments after Sounders FC took the lead but the captain Vela failed to tie the game ending the first half in a 1-0 in favor of the Sounders FC.


The second half seemed promising for LAFC with more control and attacks but Sounders FC added two more goals to seal their victory.



Sounders FC second goal came from Raul Ruidiaz at the 66th minute. Ruidiaz utilized the crowded defence to fire a shot between them and sliding past Pablo Sisniega hands.


LAFC's response was at the 77th minute with Carlos Vela crossing the ball to find Eduard Atuesta who tapped in the only goal for LAFC.



The third and final goal was from Jordan Morris with an assist from Raul Ruidiaz. The two played a counter attack past Eddie Segura and sending the ball far right to win the game for the Sounders FC.


The advancing Sounders FC will be hosting FC Dallas on Tuesday at 7pm for the semi finals.


This is not the end for LAFC as they still have a CONCACAF champions league game vs LigaMX Cruz-Azul in 3 weeks.
