LA28 Reveals Olympic Football Schedule: Rose Bowl to Host Gold Medal Matches

The road to Olympic gold now has a schedule.

LA28 has officially released the competition schedule for the men's and women's Olympic football tournaments, with matches taking place from July 10–29, 2028 across stadiums in California, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and Missouri.

For Southern California soccer fans, the biggest news is clear: the Rose Bowl Stadium will host both the men's and women's gold medal matches, cementing one of the world's most iconic football venues as the stage where Olympic champions will be crowned.

The tournament begins on July 10 with the men's group stage before the women's competition kicks off the following day. Group stage matches will be played in Pasadena, San Diego, San José, New York, Columbus, Nashville, and St. Louis, giving fans across the United States the opportunity to experience Olympic football.

As the tournament progresses, the knockout rounds will narrow the field before attention turns back to Southern California. The Rose Bowl will host a women's quarterfinal, both men's and women's semifinals, and ultimately both gold medal matches. San Diego Stadium will also play a major role, hosting semifinal matches and both bronze medal games.
