What started off as an even match paid up at the 66th minute for Colorado Rapids when Andre Shinyashiki curled a cross past the LA Galaxy defenders to find Michael Barrio who tapped the header away from Jonathan Bond.
LA Galaxy kicked off the first half but Colorado Rapids were the first to put pressure on the LA's side at the earlier minutes, missing 2 chances in a span of 6 minutes.
LA Galaxy posed similar threats with Sebastian Lletget missing a header and Kevin Cabral failing to capitalize on an open chance. Colorado Rapids' Yarbrough quick reflexes and a hit kept the team from giving an early goal.
The man of the match for LA Galaxy was definitely Samuel Grandsir, he came in as a super-sub and snatched the 3 points under Colorado Rapids' grasp to earn both LA Galaxy an away point and himself another goal in the scoreboard.
