Los Angeles, CA — El Tráfico never misses. Under the bright lights of BMO Stadium on Saturday, July 19, the city’s fiercest rivalry delivered yet another instant classic as LAFC and LA Galaxy played to a chaotic 3-3 draw in front of a buzzing crowd.

It was a rollercoaster from the start. Denis Bouanga, who clearly lives for these Galaxy matchups, put LAFC ahead in the 26th with his fifth goal in six games—eighth all-time against the Galaxy. The Black & Gold didn’t stop there. Bouanga doubled up, and Javairô Dilrosun added another, putting LAFC in control at 3-1.

Denis Bouanga slots it home past Novaković as BMO erupts — his second of the night and eighth career goal against the Galaxy.

But if you thought the Galaxy were done, think again.

Gabriel Pec sparked life into the visitors in the 79th, slotting one home after a slick assist from Marco Reus. Then, with seconds ticking away in stoppage time, Maya Yoshida stunned the 3252—redirecting a Mauricio Cuevas cross past Nkosi Tafari in the 7th minute of added time to level it at 3-3. Talk about drama.

Tensions boil over after LAFC’s third goal. Galaxy players regroup as the 3252 crank up the volume behind them.

Oh, and there was chaos too. A scuffle broke out after LAFC’s third goal, proving once again that El Tráfico isn’t just about goals—it’s about pride, tension, and a city divided.

Stat check:

  • Bouanga now has 8 career goals against Galaxy.

  • Galaxy earn their first league point at BMO since 2021.

  • El Tráfico head-to-head? Now 10-9-6 in Galaxy’s favor.

What’s next?

  • LAFC (10-5-6) head to Portland on July 25.

  • Galaxy (3-14-7) take the road to Houston, still bottom of the table, but finally showing some fight with points in 5 of their last 7.
