Austin FC falls 2-0 to LA Galaxy

LA Galaxy commenced the first half with a goal from Sebastian Lletget 35 minutes into the game, thanks to a long ball assist from Daniel Steres .This had come 10 minutes after Chicharito's PK was saved by Austin FC's goalie Brad Stuver.

Despite conceding an early goal and possibly two, Austin FC tried to keep their pressure high to get LA Galaxy off balance and equalize the game, but still it all fell to a 2-0 defeat by the LA side.

"For about five to 10 minutes that I felt like they were on us and we did not have a great solution. We could not hold the ball and the pressure kept mounting which is at the moment that we switched it to a back five, wanted to close up the gaps where they were running out. And once we did that, I felt like we were extremely comfortable from then until the end." LA Galaxy's head coach Greg Vanney told the press.

Austin FC have played 5 games so far and are yet to play an inaugural home opener, Head Coach Josh Wolf showed faith in how much they are learning and guiding the players as they progress. The team will be hosted by Nashville on May 23.

Chicharito has been coming in hot and is still on fire despite missing a penalty that slightly affect his game play, but thankfully he finished a curved cross from Julian Araujo giving LA Galaxy the win.
