The Supporters’ Shield leaders grab another victory Wednesday night at Banc of
California Stadium. This match was nothing less than another spectacular performance to put on for their home crowd. And you sensed the quick urgency by the home crowd with Diego Rossi quickly putting in the first goal within just the 6th minute of the match.
In what coach Bradley called, “One special goal”. Carlos Vela delivered his 25th and
26th goals of the season tonight. His first goal came in from a penalty given to LAFC in the 16th minute. And his final goal came from a spectacular run where he blows past 2 defenders and the goalkeeper. Vela seems to just mop the ball around them to put another one behind the net. Carlos Vela continues to show why he, if not the elite player, but an elite player in this league.
San Jose Coach Matias Almeyda was sent off in the first half after arguing about a
non-call on LAFC’s Jordan Havrvey inside the box. But there was nothing his team could have done to stop the opposing teams midfield in transition. In the 81st minute Josh Perez gave his debut goal, making the lead 4-0.
LAFC has had the upper hand this season in their matches against San Jose. Although
