LAFC ends the season with a tie against Vancouver Whitecaps

Updated: Oct 7, 2019

Banc of California was full to the brim.

90% of the crowd in black and gold LAFC dress code. The 3252 were tearing the crowds with loud chants and lots of cheers. Mixed with the District 9 Ultras, they took over the stadium by storm and for a moment it felt like they were the only thing in the stadium! What a great support team!!

Their cheer spirit lead by Will Ferrell must have contributed to the LAFC players morale.

5 minutes into the game, D. Rossi netted the first goal of the game thanks to the assist from C. Vela.

It did not take long, 10 minutes later, none other than D. Rossi fired a pinball shot from Dio's missed opportunity. 2 on the 1st half!!! D. Rossi was on a roll.

More and more fired up cheers and chants took center stage. Must have gotten to some of the Vancouver players, Davies, to be precise. When he got the ball from midfield, he zigzagged between, Nguyen and Danilo, trying to get more out of Feilhaber who denied him the cut by an unfortunate tuckle. This ended up costing LAFC when Reyna turned the PK opportunity 2-1 about 22 minutes into 1st half.

LAFC came back for the second half with a lot of determination and domination. They pressured the Vancouvers who refused to be broken. They were adamant with their defense even making it hard for Blessing who subbed in at around minute 60 of the game.

30 min before the end of the game, Vancouver had a breakthrough. J. Mutch fired a rocket that equalized for the visiting team.

This sums up the season for LAFC with the most points for an inaugural season.
